i have been looking at getting some fresh gear for climbing and topping some trees. does not have to be very heavy duty as it will probly get used for 8 trees and then put away. i think i have some decent choices while keeping costs down somewhat resonable for my use.
here are some things i have been looking at:
steel core flipline. would like to get something around 12ft with either a Gibbs or Petzl micrograb. will be used around a saw.
Spurs: most likely Buckingham steel with replacable gaffs. stiff wrap pads.
Saddle: Weaver floating Dee extra wide back with leg loops.
helmet: Petzl Ecrin Roc or Vertex Vent.
climbing rope: NE Safety Blue, Samson static kermantle or arbor-plex 12 strand
extras: alum long bent ear figure 8, small portawrap 3, petzl tri-action d biners.
