They could make about three universal bar tail patterns that together would cover almost all larger saws if they would do it. Also they could standardize on gauge. They could call them ANSI standard bars.

The Stihl mount alone could be supplied with stamped adapters that would cover many saws.

Any discussion?

I'm trying to reach out here past the "chain sharpening" and "which oil is best" topics to get some new thought going.
 
life has to be kept interesting. for me if they would just put a robeson head on all the screws it would simplify a lot.
i could get by with phillips.
never happen tho bud. i was once pulling the hubs on a little festiva [car].
three of the hub nuts were standard an one was left handed thread. they do this cause they got a contract with a major blood pressure pill manufacturer.:)
