I need to make space and I have this tub of pioneer engines (see photos). They are ALL SEIZED. Most of the pistons look ok from what I can see through the exhaust ports.

Good times for anyone who wants to try to free them up or use them for the motor casings. The cranks might be worth using too. I have used one P41 casing for a saw I have that had been dropped. It was easy enough to open and remove the seized motor. The pin bearings in wrist were still shiny.

A couple of these still have reeds and rubber AV bushings.

There is a smaller Pioneer saw frame there too, possibly a p26 with motor, flywheel, sprocket and most of the carb. It does turn over.

The 2 red saws might be Homelite XL923 but not sure. The one with the top end on it does turn over.

These are free and they can be shipped if necessary.
Thanks

Mostly P39, P41, and Farmsaw

The sprocket and clutch from the small saw (similar to p26) is now gone. Lots or parts to go.
I hate the thought of recycling these for the aluminum….

Funny thing, I live in Peterborough Ontario, the town where the saws were built, Yet they’re still very hard to find even here. But lots of stories and a lot of people here who actually worked on the assembly lines designing and building them. A good friend of mine worked on the farm saw a line, it was part of his job to make the saw lighter and cheaper.

I would love to own a P61 or P62, if anyone has one to sell send me a PM, and send it back to Peterborough!

The 2 homelites are gone. Went to a dealer so they might turn up for sale on eBay.
Still have the pioneer motors. I had kept 2 and they are both moving freely thanks to automatic transmission fluid 👍

Pioneers will be recycled for aluminum if they don’t go soon.
Thx
