So I'm getting married this Saturday and decided to do it one more time today guilt free.
And by "it" I mean buy another Chainsaw.
I've ordered an Echo CS-360T. So while I'm relaxing in Jamaica next week my saw will be on its way across the country and waiting for me when I return and my wife will be nun the wiser haha won't she be surprised.

I went with the echo because I don't climb often enough or for a living so I couldn't justify the money for the stihl or husky.
I've read some threads on here and know there are some lovers and haters and that this saw is greatly improved by a muff mod and retune both of which I will plan on doing soon after I get it.

I'll post some pics when I get back.

Marriage, & new saw, rep sent. Congratulations!

You know, you could get married on Friday, then go to the TN GTG as part of your honeymoon :msp_thumbup:.

On second thought, maybe that's not a very good idea :dunno: ;).

good thing, mon

Good thing the saw is getting shipped home and not meeting you in jamaica. Climbing palm trees with a new saw on the honeymoon after some big spliffs and a gallon of rum enhanced fruity whatevers is proly not a real smooth move...****

..just sayin....

hey, man, good for you, happy marriage, pretty soon rugrat time!

****not now, I am boringly straight, but I certainly have a vague and hazy memory of the 60s! heheheheh

Congrats on both r&r...New wife and new saw!

Yer bio says your intrests are woodworking, hunting, fishing, and woodcutting...does your bride-to-be share those interests? If yes, you won't have to hide anything from her...that's the best way to go. If at all possible, invite her to share in everything that you do...just because she's female doesn't mean that she can't enjoy all the "guy" stuff you do, you just have to have the right attitude. You have to be loving and patient, and give her opportunities to DO the fun things you enjoy WITH you, not just watch. I know a lot of couples that hunt, fish, and cut wood together (That includes me and Mrs. Bounty Hunter! And we have been married 30 years!).

Enjoy your new life...Look for the good in every thing that you do, and everything that she does. Rejoice with her when she does something good. Overlook the negative...This is important...because negativity is a cancer and a threat to any relationship...always be positive in any situation. You will be a better husband for it, and a better man.

Best of luck to ya, and enjoy your honeymoon and your new life. :msp_thumbsup:

BTW...You know the ArboristSite rules...send pics of Jamaica and the new Echo, or it didn't happen...

Thanks for the advice.
Shes not super interested in my hobbies but not trying to change them either so thats good.
Let me tell you about the first time I took her fishing. We had just started I was still tying on my lure, she was fishing already. Hooked one right off got excited was holding the rod upside down and reeling backwards handle comes off the reel she drops it and it falls off the dock in the water never to be seen again.
Instant classic.
And shes from a family that comes into thanksgiving supper in full camo eats and then hits the woods again.
I don't think she'll be upset about the saw I've already pruned her parents trees and her grandmothers is next on the list.

Thanks for the rep everybody I'll be sure to take some good pics.

Congrats !! repped, and you know the rules...pics or it didn't happen.

Well, it sounds like you should've ordered a bigger saw then...lol....you gotta go into this the right way.

Also, I've been with my wife for 8 years now and I've become very good at laundering money. You'll learn too. I use to spend it all on archery gear. Now I just sold some of my archery gear to buy a new saw....urrrr....dang the CAD.

Oh, I about forgot...congrats on the marriage.

I went fishin' on my honeymoon. Sent the missus on a shopping spree with my credit card. I ended up catching a nice Northern, it did a flip and wiggle and I ended up with 2 treble hooks in my palm. She didn't spend a dime on my CC, guess she's a keeper.

Congrats. Tough out the bad times and the good times will more than pay off.

It's been 35 years this week for me and I'm still buying saws.

Now that the kids are on their own there's a littlle more money available for toys.

So I made it back with a new wife and a new saw waiting for me. Unfortunately theres also alot of other stuff to do so I haven't had a chance to even put gas in it.
Pretty satisfied with the looks and the feel so far defiantly light thats for sure.
Any one have pics of a muff mod on this saw? It doesn't look like theres alot of room to work with.
I'd liked to have gotten the 14" bar and different chain but it wasn't an option.
