How smooth is the cutting? And how loud?
Not bad at all on vibration. Noise is bad, you need good ear plugs and muffs.

pay attention to where the chips are going, they hurt pretty bad.
The 500i breaks the chains pretty bad. I broke 4-5 chains cutting that “load” . Mind you all worn out junk chains. Smaller saws don’t break the chains. They just get hung up now and then.

AND, beyond low cost, I would bet the chainsaw is safer than something like a circular saw that might easily bind, or jam!!
It’s fast too, about like a hardwood log same diameter.
