friend of mine at work heard i was into ancient saws. well he put a mac 1-51 in the bed of my truck and told me to check it out and see what id give for it.
man, this thing is huge, even had a bar and chain. anyhoo, the pull rope keeps breaking on me, what size rope do the saws actually use. the lawnmower rope i have doesnt stand a chance. where do some people get those cool d-ring starter handles.
just venting, the wife was not happy seeing another saw. but hell, there are much worse hobbies i guess.

is there something sharpe cutting the rope. i hade a 056 do that to me a few times and then i noticed it was the chrome ring it goes through

Try a snowmobile shop, they are used because in mitts it is kind of tough to pull over a sled in cold temps with a t handle, especially since the displacement of most sleds is 500-900cc's, and their compression is high.
