I’ve been working on a 385 and now I’m stuck. Got this with a scored piston for fairly cheap. I rebuilt the tillotsen carb and I wonder if I did something wrong. When I tried to start it after replacing seals and piston it wouldn’t start or fire at all. Seems like it’s flooding like crazy. After a bunch of pulling and cursing I noticed a lot of fuel in the air filter holder. I tilted the saw and a teaspoon or two of fuel dripped out. I’ve never had this happen to any other saws. Has this happened to you?

So. I still have a little problem with the carb. Seems like possibly the mixture screws have weak springs and they back out due to vibration. Tillotsen carb. Any good ideas for that. Perhaps I need the dreaded limiter caps
