I have a customer that likes old Homelites and is looking into making his own pipe. He has an XL that I think would be a good first hot saw. Can some one give me some port timing range for a race saw and what is a good compression range. Am I looking at numbers like ex 94, trans 120, intake 84, Vs a fast stock work saw, ex99, 120 trans, intake 80 with a compression of 215 plus. I want to be involved with his project, so we both can learn from it. Tell me how far off I am with my assumptions?
