Did the C91G have the planetary type clutch cover? I found a NOS cover recently and I have been on the hunt for a nice C series “convertible drive” to put it on. Most of them are pretty rough though.
Yup, planetary cover on mine. Be forwarded, do not start the saw without the cover on. I am told it makes a mess.

BTW, theC91g's comparable Mac brother is an old front tank Mac 650. And if you want more power, a Mac 660 will smoke um both. Whoops, I forgot, this was a Homie thread, bad on me.
I can respect that, I have a few Macs, they just never did much for me. I wouldn't even be after a C series if I hadn't found the new gear drive clutch cover. I don't cut much any more, I likely won't cut with the C series at all.

Agreed Patrick, and great saws to be sure. This will make someone a nice 82cc saw with a good sized bar. I love mine, and hope someone on AS grabs it up! Max.
So you would be pretty comfortable with that price, assuming it runs well in all positions?

After examining it and making sure it ran well and had no broken parts, likely yes. I always try to haggle, but I haven't seen one that clean in a while. The Homelite branded bar leads me to believe it's a low use 925, but a full on examination is in order if you're close by. Frankly I'd like to have it but don't need it, LOL. Max.

I called the guy. It's in storage. He said it runs well but leaks bar oil. I don't need it either...but would like to have a "big" saw. Unless it turns into a project that I don't need! I wonder how it would do milling logs? Guess that depends how it runs, and without an automatic oiler, not sure if that would be good or bad for milling (I don't mill, but would put it into my father in laws rotation). I'm not close - about 1.5 hrs. And I try not to drive north if I don't have to. Traffic can be awful any random time up there.

So i just tore into my 360 to rebuild the carb but it seems that the rubber boot to the intake needs replaced. What all do i need to complete this (i.e. gaskets, clamps, ect.).

If it's like a 330 and all you're doing is replacing the rubber boot, there should be a small metal plate top and bottom that the mounting screws go through and clamps the rubber flanges on the "ram tube" w/o a gasket. At least that's what I recall when I did the one on my 330. If you tore up any gaskets you're on your own as parts for those Homelites are hard to find.

I found a lot of parts for it on ebay? I think ill just order the carb boot repair kit by PSS and then i of course already have the carb kit. Then a gasket for the mounting plate. i hope thats all i will need but i would like to replace the pulse line but i don't know what size tubing i will need.

I bought a Super XL925 this weekend. My first Homelite. It looks to be in really nice condition. Leaks fuel when tilted to the right - I believe that's a line grommet through the tank, so will look into that and probably clean carb, replace filters, etc, before trying to tune. Runs decently now, but wasn't used much in the past 8 years the guy said. He said he ran it at least annually to keep it going.
Serial number starts with HO. I saw somewhere that means 1993? Does that sound right?
