homelite VI955

hi,i have just bought a homelite VI955.it says in the parts list there is a compression release valve, i have looked and cannot find one,on several other homelites on the manual it sayspressure release but no valve found.did they stop fitting them on later models,thanks in advance,phil

The XL-700/800/900 saw series had several models (and variations within models) with and without the compression release. Most of the SXL-925, VI-944, and VI-955 saws that I've seen have not had the C/R. I have an XL-903, SXL-925W, XL-850, and XL-800.........and none of them have C/R's.
