For the three versions of the 2100, I know of at least 3 different pistons and 2 different barrels (at least, diff. part#) Do the cubes change? I assume the newer ones are better performers. From what I can tell, the 6-reed pyramid didn't change.

I find my 2100 a fascinating saw. Mine never fails to amaze me every time I start it up.

hello, all the same displacement. The difference between the two cylinders is the configuration of the exhaust ports, single bridge and the other is a double bridge. These are the ribs that support the piston rings while passing through the exhaust port. The exhaust port on the 2100 is very large and impressive, it is one of the reasons the saws run like they do.

I dont know about who has one, but I would like one for myself. make those really big jobs look like butter being cut with an axe.

A little of the subject, but what are the differences betweent the 2000 and 2100. I have a 2000 on its way and don't know that much about the big homelites.
