Husky 266XP Questions

Hello, going to be doing some work to my new/used 266 XP.

1. Should I buy Proline pop up piston or Proline regular piston?

2. It has a Tillotson carberator and I can't figure out which rebuild kit is the correct one.

I'm shopping on sawzillaparts.com if that helps at all.

1: Personally I have only ever used OEM 266 pistons in 266 rebuilds- so cannot tell you if the Proline might be better or not.
2: HS-163 or HS- 224 Tillotson should use an RK 23HS repair kit.

I get one of these, and carb kits for Tilly full rebuild fine , and don’t get aftermarket kits use Tillotson , Tillotson RK 23HS

I have a meteor in one of mine...not impressed but the issue be well be something else

I have a popup in a 266,, can be a bear to start,,,,tough to pull,,,, seems to run good,, nothing spectacular. I wood go meteor
