My 450 rancher wasn't lubricating the chain to suit me I took the auto oiler off and drilled the hole on the oiler itself to twice it's factory size it uses about a tank of oil per tank of fuel now saves a bundle on chains

I have also drilled additional oil pickup hole on the bar....

So....I did that yesterday! (what is in my post above)

Now it oils enough...! Even a little to much....

Put oil pump appart...original hole is 1.5 (ish...) mm in dia (measured it with a drill) <---- I have complete package of drills in 0.5mm increments (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5...10mm)

So twice the OEM size should be 3mm right?

Well I think that 2.5mm drill would suffice (just re-drill both holes) :)

P.s.: that hole (provision for 455/460 oil pump....where you set how much oilpump oils) atracts a lot of debris while you are cutting wood....sawdust goes in and blocks OEM 450 oilpump from turning correctly) I would suggest to block that hole with......silicone or....whatever....to block the sawdust from entering into that compartment below the metal shield!
