Looking to sell my Husqvarna 576XPW. I belive a 2012 model or 2011, Ill check when I get home. Will have pics of it in a few hrs. Fairly low hours, for the last 3 years it has been a part time firewood saw. Has a pretty new (<20 hrs) OEM air filter, NGK spark plug and OEM fuel filter on it. Cuts runs and oils like it should. I will take a video when the weather clears up of it running, cutting, and oiling.

It was not originally an XPW from what I can tell, it has the big dogs on it and a wrap handle. It has a normal clutch cover which I have modded a little bit to clear noodles better around the wrap handle. May have a 1/2 wrap for it floating around somewhere, see if I can dig it up, it was in good shape last I saw it. Got text books to pay for and I need those more then a third saw.

$475 shipped PHO to the lower 48.

Yes, I'm guilty this time lol.
Lets see those pictures :sweet:.
Im sitting at the DR with my mom, be home in about an hour to post how it looks as of today. These are the most recent I have from about a month ago before I swapped the air filter out. Wifi here is sloooooow. Ill take a pic of the clutch cover, its seemed to help a bit on the noodles.14900324_10209814446585215_978753965535667982_n.jpg

Do you want me to use a 20 or a 24 in bar in the video? I do not have any wood big enough to bury a 28in bar in.

I hope this saw is available in 5 weeks.

Does it have AT or manual carb? All OEM? I assume you are the second owner?

2nd owner, all the parts I have put on it are OEM, but I have never pulled the muffler off and never checked to see if it has OEM seals. Manual carb, I trimmed the H limiter a little now that I think of it for when it is really cold out, but I always tuned it to 13.3k on my tach.

Edit, it has an Oregon clutch drum and bearing on it and an Oregon power mate rim. I don't have it in front of me, sitting in a DRs office. When I get home Ill look it over and document everything better.

Screw holes on the "drivers" side of the cover in the picture with the dolly are the giveaway, but one bought in that time frame could have easily gone either way.
You been wanting one for a while now haven't you. Smooooooth saw .

I took a video of a cold start, it was about 40F in the garage when I pulled her out. Been sitting for about two weeks. It was not flinging as much bar oil off the tip as I would have liked, but the drivers were nice and wet, maybe a little more run time tomorrow will sort that out. Spark plug looks good and wet. One of the clips that holds the top cover on is busted, I forgot about that or I would have mentioned it. It was a bit too late to go out to the wood pile and cut, Ill do that tomorrow when there is time. I do put a little silicone grease around the seal of the air filter on all my saws. I don't trust the plastic on plastic of the Husky's to seal out the finer particles properly.

I remembered to check, the Clutch drum is OEM, the rim sprocket is Oregon. Found my receipt from bailey's for that and the air filter and there is no play in the crank. The fuel filter is not OEM, but I have an OEM one in its bag Ill throw in the box.

i owned a a/t version of this saw one of my favorites saws...... of course all saws are my favorite.... ;) glws and great price Brett i feel these are better than the beloved ms460-461 but just my opinion
The Stihl gods are no going to be happy with you but I agree.
I had a 576AT that was done by Mastermind. I sold it in a weak moment to logger who needed a saw quick.
I think the auto tune on these are better than the newer models.

Thats funny, because I finally got to run my 576 yesterday and immediately said "this might be better then my 441!" I have now been hiding in the house because the Stihl gods might hit me with lightning.

Really jr.
Might be:buttkick::laugh:.
I like em, they are what converted me from 440s to Husqvarna.

I ran the one up for sale today a little bit. took a video for the sale. Ran it in a sugar maple round, not too big but big enough to give it a workout. Be a little big while it renders. Sprayed oil on a cookie. Should be good enough for anybody.

Maybe I needed to be clearer.
I'd choose a 576 over a 441 for sure :D.
I wouldn't want to leave the 440 behind for a 576 though. I feel they are two totally different saws, run a 20 on the 440 for a lightweight and a 24 on the 576 for the larger wood, I'd want both if possible .
GLWS :).

I use them for the same thing honestly. I think the 440 had better dogs on it, but I liked the 576 for everything else. I got a Dolmar 6100 that has taken over for most all my cutting. I dont need as big a saw as I used to so no point in having three saws.

How about "not much of a point"? Or maybe "limited usefulness"?

It's fun to run different saws for a half tank or a tankful each when making firewood. Cool to see the differences side by side. That counts as a good enough reason for multiples, right? Right, guys? Maybe I have a problem...
