I was told that 346xp /560xp have to be tuned by computer, is this true ?

Not for 346xp - that's for sure - but isn't there some computer
involvemnt in tuning/setup/etc of 560xp (one size bigger saw
than 346xp by the way) - at least I am pretty sure I have read
about people having computer issues with the new Hva 5..xp
saws on Swedish chainsaw forum ... .

The 560xp, 550xp etc are autotune saws, that normally doesn't have to be retuned at all - the 346xp is not.

The computer is for upgrading the software, or resetting to factory default, as I understand it.

I retune here daily -

my 346 was ported and tuned in 2003

my 562 has been cleaned a few times, nothing else required of mine
