This was basically turning into a shelf queen, so it is time to sell it. This was supposed to be my back up milling saw and big wood bucking saw, but the 3120 never went down, so it didn't get used much. Then I put together a 394 for big wood that isn't as pretty, so it has gotten all the use I had planned for this 288. This saw has had 1/2 tank put through it since I put it together 2 years ago. I believe it is all OEM except the bar plate and a meteor piston. The chainbrake is new OEM. It has the carb without the governor. Almost no chain rash on the case. Starts and runs great. Machine marks on the piston still. After I used it last about a year ago I drained the fuel, but left oil in the tank. It leaked enough to just barely soak a paper towel under it, so it does leak some oil when sitting, but not very much. The muffler is modded with a bigger opening and deflector with screen. Base gasket delete. New spark plug, air filter, starter cord rope, seals, oiler o ring, gaskets, bearings, carb kit and fuel line when I rebuilt it 2 years ago. All spring a/v minus one of the buffers which is rubber. It has the older style 281 case without the hole for the chainbrake alignment peg, so the new chainbrake had the peg cut off so it sits correctly. This doesn't make a difference in function at all. $525 PHO plus shipping PayPal friends family or add the 3%. I can change the full wrap to a normal handlebar and for $35 less.
