I have Husqvarna 359 that broke the PTO/clutch end of the crank off, I noticed today while putting the saw back together that the faces of the clutch shoes are wearing uneven /weird and the clutch hub has some play on the bearing. My question is how much play should there be and could this be why the PTO end broke off? I tried a different bearing and it seems to be the same as the other bearing.

How did the crank break?

Pics?
It spun off right at the end (closest to the case) of the threaded portion, leaving that part inside the clutch. I dont have a pic as I had to grind that end flat to seperate the cases and pull the bearing off.

Uneven clutch wear and a little clutch drum play is normal. Not the cause of the crank failure.
Running a chain too tight could be the cause.
