I am planning on building a hybrid 385/372 and I will have no use for this saw and therefore I am selling it. Based on condition, with brandy new bar and 20" lgx this saw is worth $500 shipped. Compression is 155lb, starts fine, does everything it should. I got it in trade for my 262xp, and I put a brandy new oem clutch cover and new starter cover on it...no decals, but the parts are brand new. New chain catcher too. iirc has a new ngk plug. new fuel filter and oem line. Didn't even clean it up that much, so its a bit dusty, but if you look at how much paint is left on the front of it... it likely hasn't been used much. I see some numbers on the sides of the cylinder, and an "AB" on the top of the piston, but I don't see other obvious markings indicating whether or not the cylinder is oem. I have no reason to believe it isn't. This is the SMALL MOUNT chassis. I had never seen one, and when I went to put a new clutch cover on it it wouldn't fit... its a bit of an odd saw. So, if anyone wants to get in line for this guy let me know. At this point, if I don't get $500 shipped, i'll just keep it and run it. btw, looking through the plug hole, the cylinder looks very nice, no scoring. If someone buys the saw and doesn't like it for some reason, I'll pay return shipping. paypal friends family is best. 20151003_142217[1].jpg 20150929_095818[1].jpg 20150929_100336[1].jpg 20150929_095808[1].jpg 20150929_094203[1].jpg 20150929_093540[1].jpg

;)looks to be the 362 sp, or the 362 special.
Nice looking saw.
No new ones have been sold since a batch of 362xp saws made on the 372 platform, and with the large bar mount, and sold in the US in 2005/06 (when the 372xp was out of the catalog there, replaced by the 575xp).
The original 362xp and 362 Specials (slightly lighter case and small bar mount) had been discontinued for a while by then, after just a few years on the market.

thanks!

tag says 362xp .... all I know is that its a 372 chassis but takes a small mount bar and the cylinder is smaller bore than a 372.

Not really a 372 case. The model came out before the 372 replaced the 371. ;)

The late production large mount ones likely have the 372 case though (2005 or so).

Wow just when I thought I was helping, I got schooled.
You've taught me much through the years troll nothing new, just out there for everyone else to see I'm still learning.

I always say "If your not Laughing, Learning, and Loving, your not Living:).

Good luck with the sale, still looks fun to run.

Same year as my 362. Cool.
I believe the 362 Special was large mount.

I built one from 2 bare crankcase halves just to test one out. Had new tank, new crankshaft kit etc in it just to run one.

Fine saws.
