ArboristSite Lurker
Hello everyone. I am new to this site and to a gas (petrol) chainsaw.
I live in rural France , and usually burn 6 steres (cubic meters) of wood
(oak) each winter.
I have used an electric Black & Decker 16" chainsaw to cut up my wood for the last 3 years.
Well I bought one of these Huskys when I was back in UK . They are cheaper in UK, but not as cheap as USA.
I started cutting some 2 year olds mature logs and WOW.
This saw is wonderful. Enough power for me , and it went thru the logs as easy as pie.
If anyone wonders about the power of these saws, I can only say , you will be satisfied with one of these.
I now am a sad old git , awaiting my delivery of wood for the year, so I can get out into the barn and do some sawing.
I am using Stihl 2 stroke oil mix at 50 : 1.
