Did you srt that tied off to the ball on the hitch?
Damn!
Not damn, DAN! Clove under the ball with a couple half-hitches seems to be about fine. I would do something different if the knot was going to be really loaded but its just my scrawny butt on the other side.
For heavy stuff that will lock a clove I used b-line on the bight hooked to the pintnle clasp which of course is locked, pinned and then I jam a nickle behind the lock to keep the clasp closed all the way.
The hook on the dingo is very clove friendly. Put it on "hook up" for lifting from below "hook down for pulling from above. Now I did not weld that hook on to the draw bar, its bolted with grade 8 with standard draw bar tubing.
Simplicity at its finest and diversity to boot. But if you would rather drag it, go ahead. That was the last bit of a tree that filled my truck, quickly, with most of the stuff being rather large, futher away, coming down fast, and 90 degrees to the chipper. They had a pile of butts by the hopper they could not put through as the chipper only garbles about 9 1/2 inches if your are lucky and do it right. Twas quite a nice blitz. Originally the HO was going to keep all the wood but he is 90 and his son didn't want it. I left the nice easy stuff for the old man to split on his new splitter. I hope it don't kill him though. I kept giving this one old guy firewood til he burned his house down. He had it piled up next to and on top of the stove but I think what did it was the kerosene.
