I have had this saw for about 20 years. Bought it used from a dealer to use in milling and have done successfully with my Alaska Chainsaw Sawmill. The grommet that holds the grab handle into the base of the motor housing has come to pieces and I want to replace it but can't figure out what model it it. Here are the photos. Can anyone help with identity and source for the rubber grommet? After looking at a thousand photos of different saws, It is very similar to a 051AVE. The attachment of the grab bar seems proper, but the muffler is exposed unlike the 051. I'm still looking for opinions. Anyone got one?

Thanks for replying. I looked at pictures of the 075 and it was tempting, but the aluminum grab-bar doesn't go all the way around the saw like mine does. The manual pump on the front is persuasive. So, the grommet I'm looking for doesn't apply on this saw because the grab bar doesn't go all the way around like the 051 (second photo) . I suppose there were slight differences in the saw year-year that might be the difference. The first photo group is the 075AV . 1656900656066.png1656900813524.png

You just have a fullwrap not a halfwrap on your saw- would have been an optional extra at point of sale, or it was a West Coast version.

Maybe someone retro fitted an 051 front fullwrap or maybe they are common part numbers and so it the part you require- of that I am not sure.

Of the fact your saw is NOT an 051 and very likely an 075- I am much more sure.

Not to waste your time, but poking around on ebay I found what Proline calls a Annular Buffer Mount Set which consists of two pieces, one of which probably mounts to each side of the handlebar. It is advertised as fitting the 075 and the 051, so how can I lose?

Thanks, Bob. You've made my day!

Perfect.

Just out of curiosity, the screws that hold the saw together tend to vibrate loose quickly. Do you put locktite on them?

If you can hang tuff for a bit I'll get the part numbers you need. Just did a pair of 075's, one full wrap, the other just the normal half wrap.
