Six saws, running or not.

You are being sent to an island, with nighttime temps in the low 20's, daytime in the upper 60's. Ash, Hickory, Locust and Elm. Some Oak and lots of Maple down near the swamp. You have a good woodstove, but no shelter. The only other people on the island are the Stihl dealer and the Husky dealer. They have any saws in stock, and lots of parts. Unfortunately, you don't have any money. So, mostly, they just stop by every day and watch you work. They chuckle from time to time as they knock back a couple of beers, served by the Swedish Bikini Team, who double as their housekeepers.

Maybe if you get a house built, the team will stop by for a late night snack and a game of checkers. Right now, though, they are giggling at you because you forgot the bar oil. Maybe the Stihl dealer needs some chains sharpened. You do know how to hand file chains, don't you?

So I'm on an island and there's a Swedish bikini team/ housekeepers on this island and you want me to give a hoot about filing chain? Is my wife somehow on this island with me or not...
I'm thinking there might be a few "other" ways to raise the temps up then firewood.
Priorities man...get them straight. It'd be weeks before I looked for food on that island ... :)

Only six, eh? Well, I have been trying to answer the question in my mission to reduce the fleet and I haven't gotten there (yet). I am thinking that it would include the Stihl 019T, Stihl 018C, Stihl 026, Stihl 039, Stihl 066, Stihl 070. That would be bare bones minimum for my purposes.

Since that is six different saws, I would probably also keep my 028 Super and another 039 (for backups). I guess the rest of my line-up could go. :(

1)Husqvarna 359
2)Husqvarna 372
3)Fiskars pole pruner
4)DeWalt 12" compound miter
5)DeWalt circ saw
6)Sawzall

Six! Six saws! Ah ah ahhhhhhh!

14" Echo cs-315, "Mac" (Jenn Feng) 1435a, 16" RedMax GZ4000 in that order for anything they can reach through.

20" PP5020AV, 20" Husqy 455R as heavy artillery for stems the infantry above can't handle.

Not being "on the clock" and cutting for the pleasure of it and firewood, blows away any macho thing.

No need yet for longer than 20" bar.

Don't need no steenkin sixth runner, yet. Poulan 2400 could be ready right quick- noisy little monster.

Ok lets say only six gas saws (not counting electric, hydraulic)

3120 (with 11.6k limiter), 395, two 7900's, 346xpne, redmax 3200

Would rather add in a few more at a minumum

2 3120s, 395, 066, 2 7900's, 346xp ( haven't tried the newer ones), 339xp, redmax 3200

Theoretical, or what we own? I havent run 1% of what some of the guys here have run, so no idea

Theoretical, poulan 655BP and an 8500 and..four other random saws, IDK, 346xp, one of the twins, heck both the twins, and one of the big macs or a 3120, as long as I can use my stunt double...

Poulan s25cva < no one told that saw it isnt 50 CCs....
Poulan 245A < ole Gramps set the bar, as they say
Echo cs600P < one saw plan right there
Echo cs8000 < Rhino dont care, bring it on
Husky 394xp < For when the swamp monstahs get outta hand a little...
