Replacing the engine next weekend. Replaced the hydrolic control 3 years ago. What is this rated in tons?
I have used it for 3 years and it handles oak and hickory logs up to 15 inches ok. Larger diameter logs can be "nibbled" until even they succumb. I split about 4 cords per yard.
Engine date of mfg. is 10/1982, so it should be close to that.
It is a Flowtron brand.

The smart guys here will want to know which pump and cylinder is on it, and if it is a two stage pump or not. Then they can tell you.

From Flowtron:

MT-300 7 tons

MT-350 10 tons

MT-400 12.5 tons

MT-500 15 tons < Mine.

I did not know the company existed today.
