Dropping any beech nuts?

Having a beech and a birch in the yard within close proximity of each other, can say that most resembles the beech.

Wow...this tree is turning out to be a "REAL BEECH!"

Im stickin to my thought of black birch. Look at the bark at the base of the tree in the first pic, starting to get rough and slough off, beech trees just dont do that. Black birch are quite rare where i live, but as i understand it not as rare in ohio.

I agree with mainewoods does not at all look like my beech I cut 11 cord last winter bty, looks like black birch maybe.
