Is this hole supposed to be there? Stihl 038

Shop manual recommends replacing parts 3 , 10, and 13 (on the above parts IPL) the sealing ring and o-rings, respectively , when servicing the pump.

If it still blows oil with a sound gasket there is a problem with the bore of the pump body and/or the pump piston.

Also check the surface of the pump dive gear where it contacts the sealing ring

I have done as Mad Professor says on my 038 a long time ago. It sealed up tight and pumps a ton of oil on to the bar. Be aware that it took a very long time to get one of those seals, as Stihl had it on "special order only"

I want to change the seals before changing the pump so I have ordered the parts 3, 10 and 13 at my Stihl local seller. It costs about 6 euros in total. I'll have the parts in 8-10 days.
I will make some pictures if this can help someone.
