Hey guys, been lurking for a couple of weeks. Have a few saws I have been trying to get back into good shape after inheriting them. The one I am scratching my head over is a Johnsred 2145. Checking it out and it was missing a bar bolt. Of course I found it in the oil tank, which was bone dry cause someone was running it with only one bolt. When I put the bolt back where it belongs, I noticed it lined up shorter than the other, so I popped them both out to inspect. The spacer that sits inside the tank also came out with them, and it appears to be bent up pretty good. One of the bolts also appears pitched at the head. Not sure if this is how everything is supposed to look, have been searching for the metal spacer part that sits inside the tank, but am coming up short. Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding this part? Or maybe let me know I'm a big dummy, and everything looks correct, I just need to put it together and get on with it.

I honestly could not tell you from personal experience- but there is no such part shown on IPL diagrams, so I am guessing it is an intregal part of the case and tank moulding- not meant to be a replacement part.
I'd guess someone wailed on the spanner and distorted the flat section of the bolt head and the mounting rail- did they crack the side of the oil tank in the process?
I believe 5 minutes with a vice and a hammer will beat the bent bits back into shape and they can be reinstalled. The thing to think about is- is the inside of the tank damaged and the rail is never going to stay straight after refitting?
