I found a Jonsered 2041 turbo in a pawn shop today. looked to be in pretty good shape. What size saw is it (what stihl is it comparable to). thanks

Johnsered 2041 Turbo

"Ideal for those who require a reliable and versatile saw"
Equipped with Anti-Vib Light bar and chain for lower vibration levels, efficient cutting and a lower weight
Displacement 40.2 cc
Power 2.0 kW (2.7 hp)

The closest Stihl to it is probably the 023/230, although I believe their motor is slightly smaller. The 025 is larger. I'm not sure if that is a Husky built model, similar to the 340, or if it is Poulan built model like the 141/142.

Neither, but you are right that the comparable Stihl is the 023.

The Jonsered 2041/2045/2050 is about the same saws as the Husky 40/45/49 and the Partner 410/440/460/490 and 510. The original design was by Partner, in the early 1980s, I think.
These saws were orignally made in Sweden - maybe some of the production was in Italy. They were the cheapest Swedish made E-lux saws.
Jonsered versions had the "Turbo"/Air injection feature - Husky and Partner versions did not.

The latest Partner versions have been made until recently, possibly in Italy.

The Husky and Jonsered saws were made until about 2000, and then replaced by the much better 340/345/350/2141/2145 and 2150.

Poulan had nothing to do with the production of this family of saw.
