Log splitter

New engine, new coupler engine spins the same direction as the old one. My hydraulic pump seems to seize up and prevent me from starting the engine. I ran the engine prior to hooking hooking up. Any ideas

Spool in the neutral position???
What were the old engine issues?

I figured it out! Simple mistake, to much oil, vapor locked motor. Up and running after I drained some oil
