long term storage ??????

good morning guys,i have a ? on long term,over 3 months,storage for my chainsaw,blower,weed eater,hedge clippers.all of them are stihl.do you guys pull the spark plug and put a couple of drops of 2 stroke oil in the spark plug hole and gently pull the rope to distribut the oil evenly?in doing this,do this only after you have run all of the gas/oil mix out of the carb.
