I tend to find things along the lines of nails, staples, eye bolts, hammock hooks, clothes line pulleys, copper wire, and lighting fixtures. Also find some lead every once in a while when I'm getting wood near my camp in VT. I can only blame myself for that.

A buddy of mine has a table made out of a stump. The top has a bullet that was embedded in it over fifty years ago and was cut cleanly in half. You can clearly see the path where it tore into the tree and the approximately 50 annual rings that grew over the entrance hole.

Found a solid lead bullet about 20 feet up a white birch couple of years ago. Worst thing was about twenty some years back I cut right into the middle of a very unlucky horseshoe that was grown in the middle of a hard maple. got that chunk cut out and split and burned in the furnace. still have the shoe with a big chain nick in it
