Mac Cat oiler problem

A colleague called to ask for advice with a Mac Cat 839 with a non functional oiler. Can anyone offer any constructive advice - usual problems, availability of mauals etc?

He uses it once or twice a year for a very few cuic feet of firewood. It worked OK last time used.

How is the pump driven? Vacuum? sprocket?

It has a gear driven pump, check the pickup to make sure it's not blocked.
