My Tillotson carb does have an idle speed control screw, but no idle or throttle stop. The idle speed control screw acts internally on a lever or something inside, I guess.

I'm guessing it may be bypassing some of the fuel/air around the closed butterfly but never saw one of these before.
 
Little different topic, but still 2 cycle......

Anybody know the minimum acceptable compression on most chain saws. My dealer tells me it's 90 cold, but I have always heard minimum acceptable numbers higher than that, before you do rings etc.
