McCullough C.D.I. won't spark

I need help with an old Eager Beaver Super 16. I can't get it to spark. I tore it down and checked the two leads on the ignition coil with an ohm meter. I was expecting to read near zero or open but it read 184 ohms. Does that mean it's bad? It's a C.D.I. system.Thanks.

What was resitance between the spark plug wire and the terminal on the coil? The experts on the value will be along shortly

It's open between the spark plug wire end and both coil leads. I was afraid to try to pull the plug wire out of the coil. It doesn't look like it should come out?
