Not necessarily. Port a 440 and a 441, then run them against eachother.

A ported 440 will run with a stock 7900. A ported 441 will smoke a ported 7900.

Unfortunately ported saws account for less than 1% of those used. For the majority, including almost all pro users, his original statement is correct. Thats not to say Strato Saws do not have benifits, but there is always a trade off, in this case, added weight.
 
Since the 650 is a high torque saw which i do like better than high rpm on a tach just how much more could be done on the ports as far as torque gains go?
 
I was thinking the same thing I bought one a couple weeks ago and sold it the same day. I really wanted to keep it.. My dealer has 2 left at $825.00 out the door Not sure if he would sell me another one for that thou? I would thing with some porting and muff mods the 650 will out run a 660 easly for alot less money! Heck the 460 is like $900 and change!
