I decided to give it a decent test with the 18" bar from a 251. Of course I used the sprocket from the 251 also. I cut several small trees and one 16" maple, and bucked it into firewood lengths. I know maple isn't oak, which I will test later today, but the saw ran it great. I didn't notice any more bog than it had with the 3/8 Picco 16". I carefully sharpened the chain first, and maybe the muffler mod helped, but I'm very pleased.

On another note, I'd be willing to trade my stock 16" bar and the 18" 325 bar for a 18" Picco bar.

I put a .325 rim sprocket on my 025. I've read that the .325 doesn't cut as well, but that's what Stihl put on it from the factory. I cut and bucked several small trees with it last Sunday and cut and bucked a 6" also. It had all the power I wanted.

My sharpening has improved I'm getting chunks now insteads of dust. I'd still prefer a 3/8 Picco chain, but this .325 is cutting great. It will out-cut the Husqvarna 445 and it came factory with an 18" 325 setup.
