resistant to all solvents; I remove or protect and elastomers (rubber) components.

I bought a 029 Super on eBay 10 years ago for $150 shipped. I used it along with other saws to heat my house for 10 years. I sold it on eBay two months ago for $225. Not bad.
It ran well and had high compression when I sold it. It wasn't a pro saw but cut up firewood fine by me. I had too many saws that size and chose to sell that one and keep a Husqvarna 266SE in its place.

Well a little while back I get a PM from Ed (Arrowhead) turns out
not only do we know a lot of mutual friends but one of his close
friends Larry and one of my close friends Mike are brothers ...
Small fricking world anyway few days back I stop over at his shop
we only live 4-5 miles apart. We get to know each other better
and I get a great start to my Chainsaws 101 class.
Ed thanks again for all the help and ideas on the MS290.
So while I am on a search for a good used 039/390 piston and
cylinder. I did perform a muffler mod per Arrowhead's directions,
no pictures as I was not allowed to use the camera as all of the
pictures were on it from my son's Baseball Tournament, btw, they
won it, tonight!!! Yeah!
So pictures to follow. I have a good start on getting it all back
together, for now I am just planning on a muff mod. Ed pulled the
limiters off the carb and once I have it back together will show me
how to tune it.
There will also be some welding gettting done I believe next time
we get together. But I will leave the suspense hanging there for now.
