Need help troubleshooting Husky 440

Wasn’t paying attention, and took side plate off while chain brake was on. Now I can’t get the cover back on and can’t get the brake to release. Any tricks to this?

There are many YouTube videos showing alternative methods to release the brake. If you plan on doing this often or work on many Husqvarna saws, make a tool from a scrench to simplify the task.

I used the open end of a wrench with a screwdriver through the closed end as a handle to turn it. Worked great, knew there had to be a way, should have consulted YouTube right away. Thank you
