So I have a 562xp ( 20 inch bar Wish it was longer) and a t435 and the combo has worked out well for me. Some back round. Most of my cuting is on oak logs that are dropped off to me. Some tree take downs but only like 35% of my cuting.
In any case my 562 is down atm and It kills me that I cant cut any more rounds. Most of my cuts are on sub 24 inch. That being said I have hit a few 42 inch hear and there. With the 562 being down for a few weeks I was thing of grabing some thing that could still handle a 20 inch log but be a bit lighter. But when I looked the 550XP Mark II is 11.7 Pounds and the 562 xp is 12.6 Pounds.
I see that the 550 run a bit more rpms but has a good deal less power and at less then a lb
difference
In any case and info or recommendation on a saw that was a bit lighter then a 562xp but still has the go to take down a 20 inch logs day in day out. Or should I stick with what I got?
tia :)

I have a 2 year old 562xp 24in bar been using it for last 2 years. love it. Week ago I bought a 550xp mark ii 20in 058 325. 3 tanks of gas already with the frigging semi chisel chain, the saw rips up shop stock. I looked into switching it to 3/8 before it even got here. I'm leaving it stock, but did order 5 full chisel chains 325 for it. Can't wait to try. I had to sharpen the chain on the super jolly today. Cut rakers down to .025 under she cuts like no tomorrow. 1thing I noticed 562xp with 24 just wants to pull through log with full chisel almost need to hold it back a little. This semi chisel u need to add some pressure . Like I said can't wait to try full chisel.
