I think the 3000 is a 3.4 . Here are the 3700 , 3000, and 3400 side by side . This was covered several pages back this summer.

What is your 358###### numbers. Maybe you meant it was one sold as a 3.0 with the shorter bar but was really a 3.4. Maybe reason for you calling it a 3000 WAG.
Back when I came across them, even had one I sold. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/poulan/craftsman-358-356081/msg73154/#msg73154

You are correct. This is one of the rebadged saws . It still has the original 44209 AW bar in 3/8 18". Notice the serial # has been rebadged also . Sorry for the confusion.

Bingo :numberone:

Folks collect them. Sold the one I had for $100. Most ever for a 3400 around here.

Hey guys, what is the story on the various 42cc Poulan 4218's, 3616's and their rebadged cousins.....some of them are great runners and others are total dogs even when tuned properly. Were there different cylinders and or carb combinations through the years?
