Not in the business but around the house

I'm not in the business but for kicking around I have, 025 with 16" bar, 044 with 20" bar and 066 with 24" bar. I use the 025 and 044 a lot. The 066 is mainly used as a milling saw.

Fer cryin' out loud who'd wanna run stock saws?

If I had to I suppose it'd be Husky 335xpt(still handles the best to me), Shindaiwa 488 (ultra reliable), Husky 372xp (barely above an 044, just a little extra zip and smoothness).

Round here I just don't run into much above 36" dbh very often so I can't justify anything larger. . .

I've been climbing for a guy for 6 months now, we have 8 saws on the truck. The biggest is an 066 and we have pulled it out ONCE for a stump cut. This saw may be nice and all, but it does not make us money on a daily basis.

3 saws (that make me the most money)- Echo 3400, Stihl HT-75, Stihl 046.

If I could only have 3 they'd be.
011AV (12 inch), I like my 015's and my 009 but both of these models lack anti-vibe.
026 (18 inch), mine is an early model with more grunt than the new version.
064 (28 inch), I rarely need saw this big but it's nice to know it's there.

346xp w/ 16" bar, 372xp w/ 20" bar & 385xp w/ 24" bar

Of course that's a hard choice because you have to leave out a 357xp and a 3120xp. No climbing saw, my 225 lb. is best kept on the ground. :D

As of today, my 3 favorites (out of an even dozen) are:
019T..14 inch bar
031AV..18 inch bar
and
(drum roll please)
David Bradley Three-Sixty with 20 inch bar and .5 pitch chain.

IF I won the lottery today...tomorrow there would be a;
MS200T..14 inch bar
MS260..18 inch bar
MS440..long and short bars

...sitting next to the new sports car, new 3/4 ton truck, new Harley, and new Jet-Skis in the garage.

All Huskys:

335XPT-W
372XP-W
346XP-G

We just got the Greffardized 346, and it is amazing.
Had to include it, instead of my 3120XP-G, as, while it has had a lot of use lately, it does sit a lot from time to time. I have a 36 bar for it, but usually use the 42. Run 24-32 on my 372's, both modified, so the 066 is sitting more now.

ok, i guess nobody caught this the first time. my 3 favorite saws are:

066-32"
echo 3000-14"
and, easily the best felling saw ever produced:
MY 1957 CLINTON D35
why, you ask? simple. because if a tree is too dangerous for felling the conventional way, you just start her up, point it in the general direction of the tree, hit the gas, and the sheer noise from her will scare the tree so bad, it will just give up and lay right down!
