Yeah then it's a crap ton of nails in my firepit. Everyone laughs when I say that like it's not a big deal. My firepit is huge and I often have to stand in it to get fire's started. I don't want a stupid pallet nail in my foot.

Also, I have dogs.

Get one of the big magnets that hang from the end of a pole and sweep your ashes after the fire is extinguished. Easy peasy.

I make skid totes to move around with a tractor. Not to mention how many I burn in the furnace.

SteveSS, I think that guy has a Canadian division too. Guy who picks ours up from work uses a beat up old flatbed and stacks single rows as high as he can and only one ratty old strap on each pile.

I now have a huge collection of nails from burning skids in my OWB. Some got so hot they started to melt together.
