Pets that like a warm fire

It would be nice to see what other pets like a good wood fire other than dogs. This is my cat that heads to the stove when she comes inside.

gots a 32' square grate in the floor,, where heat come up from basement...the cats,, occasionally will lay on top of it. but not for long!!!!!

Don't mind the mess haha. I have no idea how he can lie down right there. The vice on the bench has burned my hands, that's how hot it is around the stove and it's a good 6-7 ft away.

All our cats have liked sitting in front of our fireplace. I was really worried about our really fluffy one as our large hearth didn't have a screen. Poof!

Here's a cat we had back in '06, making sure I did a good job cleaning out the old stove.




The queen of the house has no dignity when it comes to enjoying the heat of a warm fire:


I'll keep an eye out for the other two soaking up the heat. One tends to hide in the back of the house since the other is under a year old and still wants to attack anything that moves.

The only question is who gets the closest. Sometimes their hair gets to hot to touch. Has anyone ever had one ignite?

Lou lou the Pittbull and Romeo the Dachshund , yes she is under the stove , on cold days they take turns jockeying under the stove till they start panting and have to crawl out .

Stubbs the American Staffordshire Terrier soaking in the radiation. I take his body surface temp with my laser handheld therm and sometimes he gets up to 120 degrees! My husky is usually at the other end of the house trying to get as far as he can from the stove.

Sometimes if your standing in front of the stove the boys want some attention and the tails catch the front glass a little to long and you can smell hair burning...

My wife's little Dachshund lays right in front of the heat register in the mornings...
If for some reason the blower stops he'll stick is head inside the register and start barking...
