Can you explain the brass governor on these carbs. And why they are bypassed? I’ve yet to do it to my p41 and 655
Thx
To me the governors are not trustworthy, and can give you a false tune. You have to tune in wood with a governed carb. For me I would rather delete them and know how my tune is all the time. If you get your hands on a sdc 80 they have no governor.

Pretty quiet in here lately.
Worked on my p60 last night, she ain’t pretty, and it’s farrr from a restoration, but she’s a runner again and impressed me with 140psi.

Covers are in rough shape. Someone stripped the Manuel Oiler off, just has the auto pump on it. Was nice to hear it fire tho, another one saved from the crusher.

Doesnt look that bad Cookie. Pretty standard shape for a pioneer. Must of been good saws back in the day cause most of them I come across are well used.

Hey Cookie how are you doing looks good but you should get a different muffler or just the cover so it looks like these
better performance and sounds great to
Those are okay but they mess up the clutch covers pretty bad. The rear exit was by far the best muffler, and you can run a p41 outer on them. A factory dual port muffler.

Finally I can mount this bar up that I’ve had collecting dust for awhile now. Think I’ll have to do a carb kit here, pump gaskets seemed pretty stiff, but I slapped it together and it fired up. But it doesn’t seem as snappy as it should be and seems hard to start when warm.
