Not much carb kit and minor stuff pretty much . Was pretty clean as it is .

Howdy folks. I was wondering is a pioneer p40 and p41 pretty much the same. I bought a chain brake that supposed to fit a 41 and it’s too big. It hits on the muffler and the brake band opening looks way bigger than the clutch drum. Thanks jp
No, that's a Stihl tool. Sure beats the saw rolling around the bench.

It looks like the ID tag is gone. They are often underneath by the handle.

That's correct there isn't any wholes where the rivets would have been. It has a 2.250 bore and what looks like a western style muffler with the large spike.
Threw some paint at this one yesterday. It'll get some cure time over the 4 days while I'm working. Already had it running and it ran well. 
The lighting is off. It's not that white in person.

I can't really help but is it a thin ring piston? I think early saws used a different wrist pin bearing. The coil mount on the cylinder may be a clue. Information like this may help others figure out what you have.
p51 or 60 series maybe or pull cylinder measure bore .

I measured the bore it’s 2.250 thin ring no boost port it has a rear discharge muffler and the top has holes around where the filter cover goes also it never had a tag on it. It’s definitely a P6? Series saw it also has manual oiler. Just wondering if it’s a plus or hi performance. Thanks for all the replies!
Check reed type and carb number. I couldn't tell you what would make it a P60 vs P61. Most of the so-called performance parts are, however, easily swapped.

Time will tell. I added a bit of hardener to the mix, looked pretty nice after a day.
Made some progress finally on my super 3270. Close to being ready for paint. Wondering since I’m this far if I should split the cases and throw some new bearings in there too. Happy that the cylinder is super clean. Maybe try my hand at some port work?!?!? Hmmmm
If the bearings feel smooth and tight, I wouldn't bother. If you decide to split it, there is a particular way to do it so you don't damage the auto oiler drive.

Thanks. What do you do for a case gasket if you split? Standard size bearings?
Ive never ported and probably won’t but who knows.
