I can understand that, but say you are using a 36" bar. How well is the b/c oil distributed throughout the entire chain and bar? Does enough make it to the tip? I mean, why would most bars have that tip oiler hole?

In any case, it cant hurt right?

If you do grease tips, you have to do it regularly. otherwise debris builds up in there because the grease is sticky. Or so I've read. I've never greased my 36 inch bars...or any bars.... almost never have tips wear out or come apart, unless its from abuse.

Yes, that grease gun is a joke...I fell for it too! Toss it!

The guy's at the husqvarna factory are ROFL at us over that one...
