I have a Poulan 54 and I took carb off to clean and I believe when I put the small cover on flywheel dude back on I may have moved governor to wrong spot. Can anyone tell me how it is supposed to be set? Thsnks

According to my manual: Hold the throttle wide open, loosen allen screw and adjust air vane for 1/16" gap from the flywheel. As far as the RPM, increase the tension on the spring for more speed, less tension for less speed. As long as the governor is functioning, I'd set it for max RPM. Or you set it midway. I don't have an actual no load RPM to throw out there.
