Get that saw running right and you will be impresses with the power they have. I ran one for two years and it was a powerful saw, unfortunately I could not persuade the owner to sell it to me and he took it with him when he moved.

Gotta love them Sachs Dolmars. And in Poulan green
there seem to be a bit rarer. Very Nice saw you got.
The top end looks really nice. Probably didn't see a ton
of use. Find an air filter cover and she be in nice shape.

Find a doner Dolmar and put her back together. If I remember the 143 and 153 have interchangeability with the Poulan 5500 and 6000.

Nice saw!!! Even with her blemishes, its still the envy and on the wish list of many of us old Poulan lovers!
From what I can see, the piston/cyl. look to be in great shape!

Gregg,

Poulan S6000

I just picked up one of those last week. It needs a choke rod and the cover plate for the muffler. The muffler on mine had ,I believe a dirrerent type of outlet, more like the husky 268/272 etc. They seem to be a well built saw.
If you ever decide to part it out keep me in mind.
I have found that parts are hard to come by especially in Texas. Good luck with getting it going aagain

That thing reminds me of the old Terex mining trucks.
