yeah was purchased as a straight gassed saw from ebay. got it running but then had Mastermind do up another jug for me and i did the rest and its an angry saw now.
very happy with it now :)
 
Usually straight gas messes up both sides of the jug and an air leak trashes the exhaust side. Didn't know if you found any indication of an air leak.

ok i didnt know that whiskers, interesting, thanks. well the bloke who sold it said he's dad straight gassed it. and i was nervous too for air leaks after i put randy's jug on it so i got my local Stihl shop to look over it for air leaks etc and gave it the all clear.
 
Usually a saw with an air leak won't idle down either, but if its idling correctly I wouldn't worry about it.
