Pulling big logs

Our operation limbing and bucking some big Marcocarpa trees has gone pretty well, and we are down to the last bits now.

However "the" last big butt has me stumped (pun intended). Its too big to break down with our saws -about 6' at the butt and is 10 feet long. I could try for one more cut and reduce it by half or noodle it but thats still a big job.

We have moved all the rest of the butts with the little D2 (they make the D2 look real small !!) but this one has it beat, I just can't get it started. I don't have an arch or skid shoe but there must be a way to get it moving besides rolling it a 100 yards. Is there a particular trick to leading the chain or making up a bridle that might help? Currently I'm just rolling them onto their smoothest flat and leading the chain from as low as possible.

Have you tried rolling it onto some small.logs or pipe to get it going?

possibly cut a bevel to the end so it doesnt dig into the dirt so much when you pull it.
