Question about chainsaw bars

Will a stihl bar fit on a husky or an echo. Like for example would a 16" duromatic or rollomatic fit on my echo cs500p

You will need an adaptor, I think Bailey's sells them.

as far as i know it will not, but i am pretty sure you can by an adapter.

Directly? No. With adapters? Yes. The Stihl bar groove is larger than either the Large/Small Husky mount or the Echo mount.

Any appropriate length Oregon bar will work with any echo saw correct?

as long as the bolt pattern is meant for that brand of saw

You need the correct mount pattern for the saw in question. In addition to the bolt holes, the oil passages need to match the saw or you will not get oil to the chain.
